Senators Dismiss 2 Supreme Court Justices

The Senate dismissed Supreme Court judges Kambar Nuryshev and Botagoz Yeraliyev from their positions, Orda.kz reports.
They have retired.
The Committee recommends that the Senate of Parliament dismiss Supreme Court of Kazakhstan judges Botagoz Yeraliyeva and Kambar Nuryshev from their positions,said the Chair of the Senate committee on constitutional legislation, the judicial system and law enforcement agencies, Nurlan Beknazarov.
Senators also voted for the resignation of Supreme Audit Chamber member Rashit Akhmetov.
He was responsible for monitoring the execution of the republican budget.
The Senate received an application to dismiss a member of the Supreme Audit Chamber. Since 2022, he was a member of the Accounts Committee for Control over the Execution of the Republican Budget, and then the Supreme Audit Chamber. Per paragraph 81 of note 4 of the Senate Regulations, the Finance and Budget Committee proposes to terminate the powers and dismiss from office the member of the Supreme Audit Chamber appointed by the Senate of Parliament, Rashit Akhmetov, Finance and Budget Committee Chair Sultanbek Makezhanov announced.
