Science Funding Triples: Toqayev Meets with National Academy of Sciences Head
During a meeting with Akhylbek Kurishbayev, President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev emphasized the importance of implementing systemic measures to enhance domestic science.
The head of the National Academy of Sciences highlighted the significant increase in funding and the introduction of a new law.
Science funding has increased 3.5 times, and a new law 'On Science and Technology Policy' has been adopted. Additionally, we enhanced social support for young scientists, including providing housing assistance as instructed by Toqayev. Kurishbayev noted.
Back in November, we reported that the construction of a school for two thousand students in the Karasay district had been suspended due to funding issues despite assurances from the Akimat that everything was on track.
