On February 20, Raikhan Zhamalova's youngest son, 19-year-old Zhasulan Abdimanap, left their home in Saryagash and never returned. Two days later, a shepherd found his body. He had been stabbed multiple times, Orda.kz reports.
The people who did this weren’t outsiders. They were local boys. They had taken out loans in my son’s name and never repaid them. When Zhasulan demanded the money back, they apparently decided to get rid of him. They drove him out to a remote area and stabbed him 14 times. The main suspect is a serviceman,
said Zhamalova.
The case is currently being heard in the Saryagash District Court. There are three defendants. One of them, a corporal in the military, is charged with homicide committed with particular cruelty.
The other two are charged with concealing the crime.
The indictment says the corporal chased my son and stabbed him. First in the stomach. My son tried to run, but he kept stabbing him. One of them in the car witnessed everything but kept silent because the corporal threatened to kill him too. Now they’re blaming each other in court. The third defendant is the corporal’s girlfriend,
Zhamalova said.
Zhasulan was the youngest of four children. Despite being diagnosed with a second-degree disability after undergoing brain tumor surgery in eighth grade, he had recovered and dreamed of starting his own business.
