The Samruq-Qazyna State Fund is awaiting the results of the ongoing audit by the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC), which is expected to be completed by the end of June, Orda.kz reports.
Speaking at Aqorda, Fund Chair Nurlan Zhakupov said:
When SAC provides the report for review, we will have an understanding of what comments there are. We will have the legal right to disagree with them and express our point of view. Now, I think, there is no reason to worry. We strictly fulfill our obligations within the framework of the corporate standard.
In light of recent tensions between the SAC and the Ministry of Health, which has said it may file a lawsuit over its audit results, Zhakupov was asked whether Samruq-Qazyna might face a similar conflict.
“I don't think it will come to that. We will have fewer comments than the Ministry of Health. At least, I hope so,” he replied.
The Ministry of Health previously stated its intention to challenge SAC findings in court. One of the audit's claims was that SK-Pharmacia overpaid for medicines between 2022 and 2024. The Ministry argues that some conclusions lack sufficient evidence.
The audit is part of a broader review of Kazakhstan’s quasi-public sector.
