The head of Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko, stated that the strike on Moscow has strategic significance, Orda reports.
It demonstrates Ukraine's capability to continue attacking Russian targets, putting pressure on the Kremlin.
This is an additional signal to Putin that he should also be interested in a ceasefire from the air. Not only oil refineries - drones can massively fly over Moscow constantly,Kovalenko noted.
The attack on the night of March 11 was the largest during the full-scale war. According to Russia's Ministry of Defense, 337 Ukrainian drones were shot down, including 91 over the Moscow region. The attack resulted in 18 people injured and three deaths.
Meanwhile, Russia's Ministry of Defense has reported the liberation of 12 settlements from Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region. Russia also claimed to have freed more than 100 square kilometers of territory in the region.
A day earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces stated there was no threat of Ukrainian military personnel being surrounded in the occupied territory of the Kursk region.
However, he simultaneously reported that Ukrainian units had moved to "advantageous defensive lines."
