In the early hours of June 6, Russian forces launched large-scale missile strikes on Kyiv and several other Ukrainian cities, resulting in at least four deaths in the capital, Orda.kz reports.
According to UNIAN, the strikes caused significant destruction across six districts of Kyiv, damaging civilian infrastructure, vehicles, residential buildings, and subway tracks. Falling debris from intercepted missiles also triggered fires in the city.
The Russian missile and drone assault on Kyiv has resulted in at least four fatalities and 27 injuries, including 14 emergency responders
Metro line repairs are ongoing and are expected to take a full day.
Ukrainian authorities also reported drone and missile attacks on Lutsk and Ternopil. Part of Ternopil lost electricity as a result.
The overnight strikes follow Ukraine’s Operation Spiderweb, during which Ukrainian drones targeted Russian military airfields in five regions, damaging multiple strategic bombers. Russian media previously claimed that a suspect in the attacks — Artem Timofeyev — had left for Astana four days earlier.
