Russian analysts claim that unknown hackers have gained access to the personal data of users of the Kazembassy.ru website, the official resource of the Kazakh embassy in the Russian Federation, Orda.kz reports.

Information that the alleged hack appeared on March 4 in the Russian organization DLBI Telegram channel (Data Leakage & Breach Intelligence). This service deals with vulnerability and data leakage intelligence and monitoring fraudulent resources on the darknet.

DLBI analysts said that hackers could steal information about the site's users: names, passport details, addresses, about 24.5 thousand phone numbers, and 32.5 thousand email addresses.

The data was current as of February 21.

According to our information, many text files contain personal data of citizens who allegedly made appointments at the embassy's consular section and asked questions through the website,  the DLBI said.

This information has not been officially confirmed. The editorial team at Orda.kz has reached out to the Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan to inquire about the possible leak, its potential impact, and the actions that would be taken if the personal data of embassy visitors were compromised.
