Russia Lifts Ban on Kazakhstan's Agricultural Imports Imposed in 2024

As of April 22, Russia has lifted its restrictions on the import of several agricultural goods from Kazakhstan, including wheat, lentils, and flax seeds, Orda.kz reports.
The decision was made by Rosselkhoznadzor, which had initially imposed the restrictions in October 2024.
From April 22, 2025, cancel temporary restrictions on the import of quarantine products from the Republic of Kazakhstan into the territory of the Russian Federation,
the agency’s notice states.
Since October 17 of last year, the following products from Kazakhstan were temporarily banned from entering Russia:
- Soft and hard wheat
- Lentils
- Flax seeds
- Peppers
- Tomatoes
- Sunflower seeds (of third-country origin)
