Russia: Investigative Committee Confirmed General Kirillov's Death

On the morning of December 17, Russian media and telegram channels reported Igor Kirillov's death, Orda reports.
Kirillov was the chief of the radiation, chemical, and biological protection forces.
Russia's Investigative Committee later confirmed the reports.
Reportedly, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant were killed in an explosion on Ryazansky Prospekt, Moscow. The main version is that an explosive device was placed in a scooter parked near a residential complex's entrance. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
Meanwhile, The Security Service of Ukraine had issued in-absentia charges against Kirillov the day before. They concern Kirillov being responsible for the use of chemical weapons by Russian troops.
Igor Kirillov was sancitoned for his participation in Russia's military operations against Ukraine. He was the head of the Radiation, Chemical, and biological protection forces since May 2017.
