Roskomnadzor announced that Telegram deleted 373,000 posts and channels in response to its requests, Orda reports, citing The Insider.
The agency confirmed it had repeatedly demanded the removal of posts and the channel VChK-OGPU, citing the publication of “false information and extremist materials.” It added that these requests were based on decisions by authorized bodies and court rulings.
At the same time, Roskomnadzor stated that questions about the reasons behind the VChK-OGPU channel’s removal should be directed to Telegram’s administration.
Telegram previously said the channel was deleted by its owner, “possibly due to unauthorized access.”
The VChK-OGPU team, however, claims this is not the case.
