Roman Sklyar Inspects "Nur Joly" Checkpoint, Emphasizes Border Modernization

First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar visited the Kazakh-Chinese automobile checkpoint "Nur Joly" as part of efforts to implement presidential directives, Orda.kz reports.
During the visit, Sklyar reviewed the checkpoint’s infrastructure and operations. He assessed digitalization levels, cargo throughput, transparency, and the consistency of transportation processes.
Following the inspection, he called for accelerated modernization of border checkpoints, improved inter-agency cooperation, adherence to sanitary protocols in cargo handling, and the adoption of modern IT systems.
Sklyar emphasized that border infrastructure plays a key role in expanding exports, imports, and Kazakhstan’s transit potential. He added that the implementation of these tasks would remain under the government’s close oversight.
