Right off The Streets: Criminal Case Reopened

The Chief Military Prosecutor's Office made this decision, Orda.kz reports.
In November, Orda.kz wrote about the case of 18-year-old Bekhruz Ravshanbekov, a resident of the Turkestan region.
In April this year, the young man came to Shymkent, where local military registration and enlistment office employees took him.
This was despite the local military registration and enlistment office not having the right to act in such a capacity.
Ravshanbekov's lawyer also says the young man faced demands to pay money to be let go. He later jumped out of a window and became disabled.
The military investigation department investigated the case for two months. However, in early October, it was closed due to a lack of evidence.
Lawyer Yevgeny Yavorsky filed a complaint with the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office.
Today, information surfaced that the decision to terminate criminal cases had been overturned.
At the same time, the main military prosecutor's office drew attention to the following:
First, Bekhruz Ravshanbekov was not registered with the military registration and enlistment office and did not receive a summons. Second, he was taken to the military registration and enlistment office without preparing the appropriate documents. Third, the young man was detained by civilian employees who had no right to do so.
Also, no assessment has been given on the facts of the demand for money from Ravshanbekov for exemption from military service. The servicemen responsible for the fact that Ravshanbekov moved freely in the recruiting office and jumped from the second floor have not been identified, the ruling of the Chief Military Prosecutor's Office states.
The investigation into the circumstances will resume.
