Response Efforts Underway in Makinsk, Aqmola Region, Following Snowmelt

Response operations are ongoing in the city of Makinsk, Aqmola Region, following recent flooding, Orda.kz reports.
Four emergency response teams with 130 personnel from the Aqmola Region and the Astana Emergency Departments are involved in the operation.



13 units of equipment, 12 motor pumps, and a mobile pumping station are in use,
the statement said.
The work is being carried out around the clock.
Residents report that water has entered homes, basements, and yards. Some streets have become nearly impassable.
