Rare Turkestan Lynx Caught on Camera
Camera traps recorded snow leopard and Turkestan lynx at the Kolsay Lakes National Nature Park, Orda.kz reports.
A snow leopard was spotted at night in the park, confidently behaving in its natural environment. The camera trap also captured a rare moment with a Turkestan lynx, which, having spotted prey, was preparing to pounce, but at the last moment changed its mind and abandoned the target. These shots not only show the daily life of predators, but also confirm that conditions for their habitation have been created in the park.
