Railway Authorities of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan Extend Rail Line Agreement

Uzbekistan's Ministry of Transport has announced that the railway administrations of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan have agreed to extend their contract for the operation and maintenance of the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway line, Orda reports, citing Gazeta.uz.
Sogdiana Trans LLC, a subsidiary of Uzbekiston Temir Yullari (Uzbekistan Railways), will continue to operate the rail link.
Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Works has also announced the extension of "the four-party railway-economic corridor agreement between Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and China for 2025."
This corridor connects to the Hairatan-Mazar-i-Sharif railway after passing through China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
