Qyzylorda Schoolgirl: Man Sentenced to 8 Years
Trials continue in the case concerning the sexual exploitation of an underage girl, Orda reports.
During a closed court session held in court No. 2, another count was considered. In the dock was a defendant who was accused of inclining a minor to use narcotics.
The case materials specify that the man twice persuaded the girl to try mephedrone, knowing that she was under 18. According to an Orda source, Nurmanov D., born in 1993, was in the dock.
Reportedly, he deceptively lured the young girl to a hotel.
The investigation presented the inspection reports, the results of in-person questioning, and the victim's testimony.
The prosecutor requested eight years in prison.
The girl's family said they forgave the man and asked the court to give him a more lenient sentence.
The defense insisted on reclassifying the case and replacing imprisonment with restriction of liberty.
The court found the man guilty.
The sentence has not entered legal force.
Nurmanov was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Defendant N. is the only one of all the 'clients' who used the girl and was brought to justice. No criminal cases were opened against the other 217 men,
NeMolchi said in a statement.
