Quarter-Billion Tenge Theft Uncovered at Aqtobe Football Club

Three criminal cases have been opened following the discovery of large-scale financial fraud at FC Aqtobe. The case materials have been handed over to the Anti-Corruption Agency (Anticor), Orda.kz reports
The Aqtobe Regional Prosecutor’s Office, acting on a request from the Prosecutor General’s Office, conducted an inspection that revealed thefts totaling 250 million tenge.
Violations included suspicious transactions related to player transfers and airline bookings. Additionally, funds allocated for players’ meals were spent on the personal needs of club management,the prosecutor’s office stated.
Based on the findings, three criminal cases have been initiated under charges of large-scale embezzlement, abuse of office, and fraud. The regional prosecutor is now monitoring the investigation.
