In Qostanay, three construction workers staged a protest from the ninth floor of a building under construction, Orda.kz reports. The workers climbed onto a metal structure high above the ground and refused to come down, demanding payment of their overdue wages.
Emergency responders and police were called to the scene and began negotiations with the men. The construction site was cordoned off to ensure safety.
The workers held signs that read:
'Give us our money' and 'We need help.'
After a period of tense negotiation, the issue was resolved.
The workers received the wages they were owed and were safely brought down from the structure.
