Temirlan Yensebek, founder and former contributor to the satirical Instagram page Qaznews24, was summoned for questioning — this time under a new criminal article, Orda.kz reports.
The information was shared by his fiancée, Maria Kochneva, who says Yensebek was called to the prosecutor’s office regarding a newly opened case linked to the already-shuttered Qaznews24 account.
He hasn't had access to this page since January 2025. He also wasn't involved in editing while he was under criminal prosecution. This time, it's Article 274 — dissemination of knowingly false information. Under this article, Tim faces a three-year prison sentence,
Maria stated.
Qaznews24 officially announced its closure in August, posting a final farewell to followers.
Earlier, Yensebek was handed a five-year sentenceof restricted freedom under Article 174 for inciting discord. The case stemmed from a satirical post referencing Tina Kandelaki and the phrase “Yo, Orystar.” His appeal was rejected, after which he withdrew entirely from the project.
In June, he was also placed on a list of individuals allegedly associated with financing extremism and terrorism — and since then, all information about his status has come solely from Maria.
