QazaqAir to Launch Flights from Astana to Samarqand via Turkestan

Starting May 1, flights from Kazakhstan’s capital to Samarkand will begin, Orda.kz reports, citing the Ministry of Transport.
The new route to Uzbekistan will be operated by QazaqAir, flying from Astana to Turkestan and onward to Samarqand.
As a result, the total number of flights between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will increase from 42 to 44 per week, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan stated.
Flights will run twice a week — on Thursdays and Sundays.
