Qatari investors will construct a combined-cycle power plant in Kazakhstan, and the project is expected to be completed by 2028, Orda.kz reports.
Kairat Maksutov, Chair of the Board of Samruk-Energo, shared the details.
One major and important project for southern Kazakhstan is the construction of a combined-cycle power plant being implemented jointly with Qatari partners,
he said at a meeting of the Public Council.
According to Maksutov, land has already been allocated for construction, though he did not specify the exact region.
We are currently determining the layout. By the end of the year, we plan to sign an EPC contract.
