In the Qaraganda region, a police officer arrived at his ex-wife's residence, assaulted her in front of her young children, according to her sister.
Orda.kz has looked into the situation.
The incident is said to have occurred early in the morning of June 4 in Balkhash. The former police officer reportedly arrived intoxicated at the apartment where his ex-wife and children lived.
He allegedly started a conflict, shouted, and then began to physically assault her.
This is not just an abuser, this is a dangerous criminal, a tyrant. They divorced six months ago, but he continues to come over, threaten, slander and beat her. All this is done by a man who cheated on her for years in marriage, and now, after the divorce, does not allow her to live in peace,
the sister wrote on Instagram.
When the woman tried to flee, he purportedly ran over her foot with his car. She was hospitalized with diagnoses of "concussion", "bruises to the face, chest, and shoulders," and "infected wound of the foot."
He is a former Balkhash police officer. And everyone is pretending that nothing happened because he is 'one of their own'. He should be fired, arrested and convicted. Let everyone see,
the woman's sister continues.
The following day, according to the victim’s relative, the man entered the room where his ex-wife was hospitalized and demanded that all information be deleted from social networks.
A case was opened only 38 hours after the reported offense.
The man was not detained during this period. According to the victim's sister, the investigation is being handled by a local officer from the same city where the ex-captain worked — someone personally acquainted with the suspect. Witnesses were not questioned, video and audio evidence from the scene was not collected, and the car and phone involved in the incident have not been recognized as material evidence.
Why is the assailant still at large? Why is the case being covered up? Who is covering up for the former police officer?
the sister asks.
The police believe the conflict may have arisen from a property dispute. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing:
All necessary investigative actions are being carried out, aimed at a comprehensive, complete and objective clarification of the circumstances of the incident. The law is the same for everyone. Neither connections nor previous status provide immunity. The case is under the special supervision of the police department leadership,
the Qaraganda region police department stated.
It was revealed that the man was not placed in a temporary detention facility because the court refused to apply this measure, citing that the suspect has young children. According to the available information, custody of the children was granted to the father after the divorce.
