Qaraganda Police To Be Investigated Following Police Precinct Incident

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sanzhar Adilov has provided details about the incident in Qaraganda, where a major was found unconscious next to a dead woman, Orda.kz reports.
Adilov said an internal investigation is underway within the regional police.
The police have opened a criminal case. A special investigative team has been created, and the Internal Security Department has been brought in. We are awaiting the results of the forensic examination today. If the officials’ guilt is confirmed, the strictest disciplinary measures will be taken, Adilov emphasized.
According to Qaraganda media, the dead woman and the police officer were found at the precinct station. The duty inspector was the first to discover them. It is believed that the major lost consciousness due to a drug overdose.
He is currently in intensive care.
