The Tourist Kamkor foundation has released information regarding the condition of Kazakh citizens following the explosion of a pleasure boat in Thailand, Orda.kz reports.
According to the foundation, four Kazakhstan nationals were on board at the time of the incident. Fortunately, all of them are safe, although some will need to replace lost documents.
The passports of two Kazakhstan citizens were burned during the explosion. The embassy will organize the process of their restoration in the near future, the fund reported.
The foundation is currently clarifying information about insurance coverage. Some were spontaneous travelers and may not have had insurance.
The explosion occurred on the morning of April 1 in Phuket Province. There were 31 tourists and several crew members aboard. Most of the tourists were swimming at the time of the incident, which prevented injuries.
