Putin and Aliyev Discuss Trade and Energy Cooperation During Phone Call

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone call with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Orda.kz reports, citing Interfax.
Reportedly, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further developing trade and economic ties, as well as implementing joint projects in the energy and transport-logistics sectors.
The presidents also discussed aspects of regional cooperation and the international situation. They agreed to continue contacts at various levels.
Minval, meanwhile, writes that the call was made on the Russian side's initiative.
The two leaders last met on October 9, 2025, in Dushanbe, during the CIS Heads of State Council summit.
