Presidential Adviser's Wife Becomes Major Shareholder in IT University - Vlast

Madina Bekturganova, the wife of the adviser to the President of Kazakhstan, former head of Kazakhtelecom Kuanyshbek Yesekeyev, has become a major shareholder of the International University of Information Technology (IUIT), Orda.kz reports, citing Vlast.kz.
According to the university's report published in February, Bekturganova has owned more than 10% of the shares since February 14, 2025. However, the exact details of the deal are not disclosed. There is no information on the university's website about changes among the shareholders yet.
Before this, the sole owner of MUIT was the Nursultan Nazarbayev Education Fund. Its key beneficiary was Dinara Kulibayeva, the middle daughter of the former president of Kazakhstan.
Madina Bekturganova previously headed the Kazakhstan Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics. From 2012 to 2021, she was the president of the Astana Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, and from 2014 to 2021, she was the vice president of the Kazakhstan Gymnastics Federation. She also owns a small IT company in Astana that sells computer equipment.
Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev is the former head of Kazakhtelecom, holding this post from 2010 to 2024. Before that, he headed the Agency for Informatization and Communications and worked in the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
In May 2024, he was appointed adviser to the President of Kazakhstan.
