President Meets with Prime Minister to Discuss Economic Growth and Flood Preparedness

President Qasym-Jomart Toqayev met with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, who provided an update on the country’s socio-economic development, Orda.kz reports, citing Aqorda.
Bektenov reported that Kazakhstan’s economy grew by 5.4% in the first two months of 2025, with efforts underway to establish new growth points and implement economic reforms.
The Prime Minister emphasized the implementation of instructions given by Toqayev during the fourth National Qurultay, highlighting progress in extensive infrastructure and energy projects, digitalization, and human capital development.
Toqayev also received a report on Kazakhstan’s flood preparedness, with 37,000 emergency personnel and 13,000 equipment units on standby. The situation is being monitored 24/7 to mitigate potential risks.
Following the meeting, Toqayev instructed officials to continue supporting the real sector of the economy, attract investors, and enhance social policies.
