Police Major Detained in Qyzylorda Region

Employees of the National Security Committee and the Qyzylorda region Police Department of Police detained the head of the Organized Crime Control Department, Orda.kz reports.
According to sources, the police major was caught accepting a two-million-tenge bribe.
He allegedly took the money to help one arrested man escape criminal liability.
The Qyzylorda Region Police Department confirmed the detention.
The National Security Committee together with the Internal Security Directorate of the Department of Internal Affairs detained a Department of Internal Affairs employee during the course of operational investigative activities for committing illegal actions. He was dismissed from the internal affairs bodies for negative reasons, The police department commented.
