In Atyrau, they have been searching for 24-year-old Zhasulan Umbetov for four days. He left his home, and no one has seen him since. His relatives are seriously concerned for his well-being, an Orda.kz correspondent reports.
Zhasulan left home and did not return. He left his phone behind, completely cleared the device's memory and deleted contacts. We immediately contacted the police. Two hours later, his face was captured on a surveillance camera in the Almagul microdistrict. This was the last trace,
says Aslan Umbetov, the brother of the missing man.
Since then, Zhasulan has not been captured by any surveillance camera. He has not been seen on the city streets, in stores, or on public transport.
He has not been in touch.
According to relatives, over the past nine months, Zhasulan suffered from a gambling addiction:
We've walked around the city, asked friends, called former colleagues. No one knows anything. We're holding on, but time is against us,
relatives say.
The police confirmed the fact of the search:
The police received a report of the disappearance of a citizen born in 2001 on July 26 at 9:00 p.m. Search efforts are currently ongoing,
the police department reported.
Relatives urge all residents to reach out if they have seen the young man or have video recordings from surveillance cameras.
