The Chair of the specialized inter-district economic court of the North Kazakhstan region, Bekbol Baimakhanov, was caught receiving a large bribe, Orda.kz reports, citing the Supreme Court's press service.
Baimakhanov received this position in 2022.
Previously, he worked as a judge of the Aqsu City Court of the Pavlodar Region, in the Ministry of Education and Science, and the internal affairs agencies.
The Supreme Court reports that the judge wanted 15 thousand dollars to make a favorable decision for a party in a case.
The National Security Committee and the Internal Security Department of the Judicial Administration carried out the operation to detain Bekbol Baimakhanov.
Recently, the Aqtau city court Chair, Bauyrzhan Shaidullin, was also accused of receiving a large bribe.
