Pavlodar Woman Accuses Husband of Threats and Violence

A resident of Pavlodar has accused her husband of stalking and threats, forcing her to relocate to Astana. She claims her husband is the son of a police colonel and that his family connections allow him to avoid accountability, Orda.kz reports.
Tomiris decided to speak publicly about the years of alleged abuse. On Instagram, she mentioned her husband, Anuar Nurmagambetov, the son of former police officer Arman Nurmagambetov, and said he threatened to kill her.

She said her husband’s family defends him despite the accusations.

Arman Nurmagambetov, a colonel, led several traffic police units in the Pavlodar region for many years. His family also owns businesses. In one case, a worker at the family-owned Diamond car wash in Pavlodar was severely injured, resulting in the amputation of her leg.
The court ruled the injury was work-related and ordered compensation, though the owners initially denied responsibility.
In her account, Tomiris also said that despite having children, her husband provides no financial support and took away her car.
“He said that I left on my own, which means I have to support everything myself.”
She added that Anuar Nurmagambetov broke into her apartment and attacked her. Fearing for her safety, she moved to another location.
