Scheduled maintenance began at the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PNHZ) on June 18, reports Orda.kz.
KazMunayGas reports that the planned preventive work will continue through July 17. During this period, technical inspections will be carried out on pressure equipment, and more than 930 pipelines — totaling 141.8 thousand linear meters — will be checked.
The work involves 1,100 personnel and 107 units of specialized machinery.
While repairs are underway, oil products will continue to be shipped from existing reserves. As of now, the plant has stockpiled 35,000 tons of gasoline, 45,000 tons of diesel, and 14,000 tons of aviation kerosene.
KazMunayGas assures that there will be no fuel shortages during the summer.
The company had previously announced the upcoming repairs in late May, though the projected fuel reserves have since changed. Compared to earlier plans, the plant reduced its gasoline reserves from 50,000 to 35,000 tons, while increasing diesel reserves from 25,000 to 45,000 tons and aviation fuel from 7,000 to 14,000 tons.
