Over 460,000 Packs of Contraband Cigarettes Seized at Kazakhstan's Border

Border guards at the Qarasu checkpoint in Jambyl Region intercepted a large shipment of smuggled cigarettes,
Orda.kz reports, citing the National Security Committee (KNB).
Authorities discovered 466,000 packs of tobacco products hidden among other goods, with no accompanying documentation.
According to preliminary estimates, the seized goods are worth more than 233 million tenge.
“The confiscated cargo was handed over to the competent authorities. An investigation is currently underway,” the KNB said.
