Kazakhstan maintains its role as one of the largest oil suppliers to the world market.
According to the results of ten months of 2024, 57.8 million tons of raw materials were transported through the country's main oil pipelines, most of which were sent for export, Orda.kz reports.
The Ministry of Energy reports that 15.1 million tons of oil were delivered to meet the needs of domestic oil refineries, which is 26% of the total transportation volume.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) remains a key export route, transporting 46.3 million tons of crude oil from January to October 2024. This route ensures the delivery of Kazakhstan's oil to world markets, including Europe and Asia.
The Ministry of Energy has named Italy, the Netherlands, China, Germany, and Türkiye among the main buyers.
During the reporting period, 1.2 million tons of oil were sent to Germany alone, and over one million were also transported to China via the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline, follows from the department's report.
As for other routes, 3.1 million tons were shipped from the Aqtau port. 1.6 million tons went to the Makhachkala port, and 1.2 million tons via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. 7.2 million tons were transported via the Atyrau-Samara pipeline.
Kazakhstan also plays an essential role as a transit country. Over 10 months, 8.4 million tons of black gold passed through the republic, more than eight million tons from Russia to China and Uzbekistan.
Via the CPC, a significant portion of Kazakhstan's oil is sent to Europe.
Countries such as Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, France, Greece, and Türkiye purchase large volumes.
Raw materials are also sent to Korea, Singapore, and China.
