North Kazakhstan Region: Former Head of Department for Combating Organized Crime Detained

A former head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime was detained, Orda.kz reports.
Yerbolat Kaptayev, former deputy head of the North Kazakhstan region UBOP, was detained in Petropavlovsk. As our correspondent reports, Kaptayev is suspected of repeatedly accepting bribes and covering for an organized crime group.
KNB officers carried out the operation. Two months ago, the detainee was dismissed from his position as deputy chief.
