North Kazakhstan Businessman Faces Charges over Embezzling 840 Million Tenge from National Fund

Antikor has completed a pre-trial investigation into the head of a commercial organization from the North Kazakhstan region, who stole almost a billion tenge from the National Fund, Orda.kz reports.
According to the agency, the businessman is suspected of embezzling 840 million tenge allocated by the National Fund.
The funds were earmarked for purchasing equipment for growing leafy vegetables and building a greenhouse.
The accused has been brought to trial, the agency concluded briefly.
Antikor is not disclosing other case details in the interests of the investigation.
