Today (March 11) in Saudi Arabia, negotiations began between delegations from Ukraine and the United States regarding the settlement of Russia's war against Ukraine.
It was previously noted that Saudi Arabia's role in the negotiation process is growing.
The Ukrainian delegation includes Andriy Yermak (Head of President Zelenskyy's Office), Andriy Sybiga (Foreign Affairs Minister), Rustem Umerov (Defense Minister), and Pavlo Palisa (Deputy Head of the President's Office).
The US delegation includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz.
There are few specifics at this point. The Ukrainian side notes that "negotiations began constructively."
Meanwhile, the negotiations in Jeddah began after a "massive attack by Ukrainian drones" — drones attacked the outskirts of Moscow overnight, with falling debris damaging buildings in the Russian capital on March 11.
According to Russia's Ministry of Defense, 337 drones launched by Ukraine toward Russia were shot down (91 drones were allegedly targeting the Moscow region).
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin called this strike "the most massive attack" on his Telegram channel.
The most massive attack by enemy UAVs on Moscow has been repelled. 74 UAVs were shot down on approach to the capital (at different lines of defense). Hundreds of drones were shot down in total. Thanks to the air defense forces of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sobyanin wrote.
