The Atyrau region remains shaken by the homicide of a manager at NCOC, a woman widely known, respected, and loved.
According to her family and sources close to the investigation, the suspect is a man who had long deceived women by posing as a repair specialist, an Orda.kz correspondent reports.
There are versions on social media claiming he was allegedly framed. But can we seriously believe this when the deceased’s belongings were confiscated during his arrest, and he himself tried to flee the region? How can we talk about innocence when she was brutally killed — stabbed, left in the apartment, the door locked, and even her phone taken, leaving no chance for survival?
asks a relative, who asked not to be named.
Relatives say the man gained the victim’s trust by presenting himself as a repair specialist.
He had worked at the French Quarter residential complex for some time and was known to many. He had reportedly taken money for services he never completed, and there had already been complaints about him.
The man came to her home. As soon as she opened the door, he attacked her with a knife:
Then he locked the apartment, taking the keys and phone to cover his tracks. He stole her car, fled, and later got into an accident. They chased him, but he managed to hide the car in the underground parking lot and entered the apartment again, where the body was still located at that time. There he took valuables, and then left through the gate in the yard,
a relative said.
Thanks to CCTV footage showing the suspect unlocking the apartment with a key, his identity was confirmed. This video became the basis for issuing a description.
He fled the Atyrau region but was detained in the village of Jetybay.
Personal belongings of the deceased, her money, and phone were found on him. The suspect is giving evidence and participating in an investigative reenactment,
relatives reported.
According to available information, the suspect is Arman Zhetpisov, 38, a native of Atyrau’s Rembaza district.
Divorced and from a disadvantaged family, he had repeatedly introduced himself to women as a trustworthy repairman, gaining their confidence and then disappearing with their money.
The deceased was a highly respected manager at NCOC, where she worked on significant projects, including at the Kashagan field. Colleagues describe her as a kind, reliable, and strong-willed person.
She was the true locomotive of our family, the heart of the home to which everyone was drawn. Her loss is an inexpressible pain for us, for colleagues, for friends,
says a relative.
