National Digital Dictionary to Be Created in Kazakhstan, MPs Pass Law

A word stock of the Kazakh language will be launched in Kazakhstan and will operate using neural networks, Orda.kz reports.
The draft law "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Culture" was adopted on December 4 in the Majilis of the Parliament.
A unified state information system will be created — the National Vocabulary Fund of the Kazakh Language.
It will provide access to the vocabulary of the Kazakh language, based on the National Corpus of the Kazakh Language, containing texts of all genres and styles. It will also preserve and protect the Kazakh language as a cultural value.
For the purpose of processing, generating and analyzing texts in the Kazakh language, the draft law proposes the creation of a large language model of the Kazakh language based on artificial neural network technology. During the consideration of the draft law, deputies provided for norms aimed at regulating the institution of mentoring and solving educational issues, says the conclusion to the bill.
Opportunities for studying under the Bolashak International Scholarship Program at the bachelor's level will also be expanded for winners of international Olympiads and competitions of scientific projects and performers.
The Republican Commission will determine the list for the Training of Personnel Abroad.
At the same time, the winners will be able to study at leading foreign universities provided that the field they choose corresponds to the subject of the Olympiad or competition, and they unconditionally enroll in academic training.
