Mukhtar Magauin's Final Journey: Famous Writer Laid to Rest

Mukhtar Magauin was laid to rest at Park Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Maryland, USA, Orda.kz reports.
On the morning of January 11, local time (which is 10 hours behind Kazakhstan), a Janazah prayer was held at the Diyanet Center of America, a Turkish mosque in Washington.
Following the prayer, the burial ceremony took place at Park Lawn Cemetery. The funeral was attended by the writer's close relatives, as well as Yerzhan Ashykbayev, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the USA, and other diplomats.
Members of the Kazakh diaspora also came to bid farewell to the writer on his final journey.
During the memorial meal, Ambassador Ashykbayev read a letter of condolence on behalf of President Toqayev.

The great writer and historian Mukhtar Magauin, who made an invaluable contribution to Kazakh culture, passed away on January 9, 2025.
He lived abroad for the last 18 years.
