Deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek has filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the operations of SK-Pharmacia, the National Center for the Expertise of Medicines, the Unified Distributor, and other pharmaceutical companies, Orda.kz reports.
The Majilis member announced the submission via his Facebook page, stating:
Yesterday I filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the activities of SK-Pharmacia LLC, the National Center for Expertise of Medicines, the Unified Distributor, and pharmaceutical companies in the country.
The statement was co-signed by Deputy Murat Abenov.
According to Bazarbek, the decision to appeal to prosecutors stems from findings of the Supreme Audit Chamber’s recent inspection.
He plans to file four separate submissions:
- Regarding SK-Pharmacia and other pharmaceutical entities
- On issues related to compulsory health insurance and medical institutions
- On agricultural subsidies
- Concerning several ministries based on the government’s 2024 budget execution report
Previously, the Ministry of Health had hinted it may challenge the audit results in court, but Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova later confirmed that no lawsuit would be filed.
