Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva addressed the issue of advertisements promoting participation in military operations in Ukraine, including appeals to citizens of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries, Orda.kz reports.
These ads are particularly prevalent on Russian social media platforms, such as VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
I can't say that we don't respond, because, you know, the volume of leaks and illegal materials is huge. Therefore, the system itself, if you take TikTok, is a huge amount. We are doing a lot of work to identify such materials. We separately send them for examination and, naturally, the administration of individual social networks immediately deletes them. But another question is that such misinformation is also systematically and constantly carried out by our opponents and individual irresponsible citizens,
Balayeva said during a government briefing.
The Minister noted that these incidents are regular and have a negative impact on the social environment.
She stressed that responsibility lies not only with the authorities and platforms but with users as well:
First of all, this concerns users of social networks, who must understand their responsibility for stability in society and the non-dissemination of false information,
the Minister added.
Balayeva also stated that individuals violating the law are held accountable and that the ministry will continue to monitor and work with online platforms, despite the vast volume of content.
