Military Officials in Almaty Under Investigation for Exceeding Authority

Several senior officials from the Almaty military enlistment office are under investigation for exceeding authority, Orda.kz reports.
The Southern Regional Military Investigative Department confirmed to Orda.kz that a criminal case has been opened. The individuals include the head of the city department of defense affairs, his deputy responsible for conscription, the head of the medical service, and several district-level commissars.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation is being conducted under Article 451 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan.
