Massive Accident on Astana-Petropavlovsk Highway: What Is Known at The Moment

The number of vehicles involved in the collision on the Astana-Petropavlovsk highway has risen to 95 Orda.kz reports.
Police officers, rescue teams, and specialists from KazAvtoJol are working on the scene, along with the Vice Minister for Emergency Situations, Kegen Tursynbayev.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 71 people, including eight children, were evacuated from the scene.
11 people sought medical assistance at the Bulandy District Hospital, and 10 were hospitalized.
Arman Zhussupov, General Director of KAZHService LLP, commented on the situation:
So far, 10 of the 95 vehicles involved in the accident have been removed, while 30 were able to leave the scene on their own. A total of 22 units of special equipment and 25 personnel are working on accident relief.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, first responders have begun dismantling the dividing fence on the Astana-Shchuchinsk highway to ease traffic flow.
This measure should speed up traffic and allow cars to continue their journey.
Additionally, around 400 cars with escorting vehicles have been directed toward the capital.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has deployed warming points in Makinsk town and Qogam, Janatalap, and Altyndy villages.
The police urge drivers to strictly follow patrol officers' instructions and not interfere with their work.
Drivers should consider severe weather conditions and refrain from driving on the highway until the situation stabilizes.
