In the Mangystau Region, testing has begun of a video surveillance system with elements of artificial intelligence to prevent offences and suicidal behavior among adolescents. This was reported by the region’s Center for Public Communications, Orda.kz reports.
Earlier, the "Aykyn natizhe" project was implemented in Astana to eliminate the causes of ineffective prevention of offences.
As the regional prosecutor, Serikkali Kushaliyev, noted, the prevention of domestic violence and the protection of children’s rights require systematic interdepartmental cooperation. According to him, every fact of violence and every signal of distress in the family or teenage environment should receive a timely legal and psychological assessment.
Preliminary test results have not been reported yet. However, according to the speaker, in 2025 the region recorded a 27,8% decrease in crimes related to domestic violence compared to the same period in 2024.
Earlier, Orda.kz reported that AI faculties for teachers will be opened in the country.
