Mangystau: Man Set Himself on Fire in front of Regional Akimat

A Mangystau region resident demanded a meeting with Akim Nurdaulet Kilybay but was refused, reports an Orda.kz correspondent.
After the refusal, the man doused himself with gasoline and set himself on fire.
The regional Akimat commented on:
They explained to him that the regional Akim was not holding receptions for personal matters today, then asked him to come on the day approved by the schedule. Citizen Y. was received by the deputy Akim of the Karakiya district. Not satisfied, he doused himself with a flammable mixture and set himself on fire, the press service said.
Law enforcement officers extinguished the fire. Before the ambulance arrived, the man was given first aid.
The man reportedly works for an outstaffing company. It is unknown why he came to the Akimat.
The police have opened a criminal case on the fact of driving to suicide. An investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident,
the Akimat said
The man has been hospitalized, and his current condition is severe
