Man Detained over Attempted Arson at House of Ministries Entrance

This morning, an incident occurred at the House of Ministries when an unknown individual threw an incendiary mixture at the entrance, intending to start a fire, reports Orda.kz.
The event took place at Entrance No. 11, where several ministries are located. The flammable substance hit a turnstile, triggering the building’s alarm system.
The fire was extinguished almost immediately.
The culprit has already been detained. His motives remain unknown.
Police officers identified and detained a 24-year-old citizen who committed attempted arson at the entrance of the House of Ministries, the Astana police department told Orda.kz.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched.
Authorities are working to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
