Kyrgyzstan: Authorities Uncover Official Forgery at I. Arabaev University, Expel Dozens of Foreign Students

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan has uncovered cases of official forgery at I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, Orda.kz reports.
According to the security service, several foreign students were formally enrolled but never attended classes and were, in some cases, even outside the country.
A criminal case was opened on this fact under the signs of a crime provided for in Part 1 of Article 346 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (‘Official forgery’). As part of the operational investigative measures, a commission inspection was conducted, which confirmed the violations indicated,
stated the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the investigation, 59 students were expelled, including:
- 30 citizens of Uzbekistan
- 20 citizens of Kazakhstan
- 9 Russian citizens
