Kulibayev: Document on Caspian Oil Deal Appears on KASE Website

A document regarding a major transaction with JSC Caspian Oil, owned by Kazakh businessman Timur Kulibayev, was published on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange website, Orda.kz reports.
According to the filing, Joint Resources, which currently fully controls Caspian Oil, announced a major interest-party transaction. The document does not specify who the second party is, but it may indicate a sale of the company’s shares, either in full or in part.
The decision related to the transaction was dated August 28.
The news comes shortly after media reports speculated about Timur Kulibayev’s possible withdrawal from the oil and gas sector.
