The Kremlin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, has rejected discussions of a unified BRICS currency, responding to Donald Trump's threats to impose 100% tariffs on BRICS nations if they attempt to create their own currency or abandon the dollar, Orda reports, citing RIA Novosti.
The creation of a common currency is not on BRICS' agenda,Peskov stated.
He explained that the alliance focuses on developing joint investment platforms for funding projects in third countries.
Peskov suggested that the former U.S. president needs a better understanding of BRICS' actual agenda and initiatives.
